Joyce Starr has been a Washington County master composter since 2012. Here, she shows a handful of finished worm castings taken from her worm bin. Also known as vermicast, worm castings are essentially earthworm waste. As these creatures eat through food scraps, their waste creates an optimal soil enricher.
